May Monthly Email

Dear Youth Pastors, NYI Presidents and Senior Pastors,

I Hope and pray this email finds you well. It is my desire that through these emails you will be reminded that you are not in this ministry thing alone. We may be at different churches, different staffs, and essentially different ministry situations. However, we are all ministering to teenagers together. We want the same thing, to see more teenagers sold out for the gospel of Christ.  Please know that you are welcome to call on me if there is ever anything you need. Soon we will be better connected through our website and and the tools embedded there in. The ability to leave prayer requests and interact more efficiently and effectively with youth pastors from all across the district. Until that day it is more than alright for you to call me, email me or even leave me a facebook message. Which ever means you prefer.

Wow! What a great convention we had. I’m so blessed by the messages shared, the mission forecasted, as well as, the partnership with NMI and the election results too. Hoping you also expereinced a great blessing. Thanks for making this a great day. Many of you were in attendance on Saturday, Pastor Trevor was very pleased with the NYI representation (42 churches present). Lets go for 100% next year and really blow him away.
Just a couple of quick things for you.
We hope to soon have all of the results from Saturdays on our district website soon. This Thursday- Saturday is our District Assembly at Grove City Church of the Nazarene. Traditionally for the past several years NYI has gone out to lunch together. This year will not be any different. Your District NYI Council would love to have you join us for a networking meal on us. Please text Josh Portefield and let him know you will attend. We will meet in the foyer directly after the morning session and carpool together. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this lunch. Our District NYI VP Derek Withrow and District NYI Secretary will take good care of you. Don’t forget to stop by our NYI table for your summer camp packets and other great stuff.
See you there
